The first two pictures are of my latest donation to Beads of Courage, a support program run in several hospitals for children undergoing treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses. The children are given lampwork beads to string on a necklace or bracelet, to mark certain steps in their treatment.

Some of my lampwork beads, lots of dots.

More of my lampwork beads. They are displayed/photographed on copper wire.

OK, I've had requests to post some of my lampwork beads... Below are several beads, earthy natural tones. And I posted three sterling silver bracelets that have my beads on them. More tomorrow!

Happy Monday! Below is one of my bracelets that was at a gallery. I really like it, but it was at the gallery for about a year and didn't sale. So, I picked it up the other day and took it home.

I then started to play around. Took it apart and added this. Took that apart and added something else. Took that apart... In the end, I added some opalite glass beads, and now...

Today I'm sharing a Sterling Silver bangle bracelet that I made a couple years ago. The beads are my own lampwork beads. I really like the balance in this bracelet.

The earrings I made today are Sterling Silver and Copper. The copper has been run through a rolling mill with window screening to give it an interesting texture. The sterling was hit a steel brush. I then cut two discs and domed them in a dapping block. Both were then antiqued with liver of sulfur and hit with some fine steel wool. Both domes are held together with a sterling rivet. I'm really not into wearing large earrings, but these look great on!

I Viking Knit the cable out of 24 gauge Sterling Silver wire, and then embellished the cable with off-white Keishi Freshwater Pearls. My new found love is keishi pearls! They look so much like flowers. I'm also making the same bracelet with copper colored Keishi. I will post it soon!
SOLD

And here are some more Keishi Fresh Water Pearls used in a pair of earrings. The pearls are tiered with a briolette of onyx dangling below.

I saw something like the earrings below on one of my jewelry instructor's ears a couple months ago. I made a mental note, came home and tried to duplicate what I could remember. I was close...not perfect, but close. I see now she teaches a class on how to make these earrings. The instructor is Janice Berkebile and the earrings are called Fern Earrings.
